Bought this item a few weeks ago.It has been in my in-ground pool for little more than a total of 4 days.I never immersed the head unit in water.The LED lights are out.Plus the noise.I could understand the noise thinking that the "motor" was generating electricity for the LEDs.Now..it is just annoying.Assembly was pretty easy. Just time to trash this and find a non-LED unit.
First time I have written a review (bought dozens of products from Amazon)..you gotta know I dislike this thing.Money well wasted.
